Under the general direction of a department director and/or division supervisor, the Income Tax Intern is assisting with processing of resident and business income tax returns for the City of Delaware. Position requires regular and reliable attendance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: For purposes of 42 USC 12101
1.Performs income tax data input and posting.
2.Prepare various written correspondence to citizens and businesses addressing questions, tax returns and request for information.
3.Maintains records efficiently and accurately.
4.Performs other duties as assigned.

* Microsoft Office applications - entry level (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, Access, Sharepoint, OneNote, and Teams) and other computer software.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1.The primary duties of this class are performed in a general office environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
1.Possession of a high school diploma or GED equivalency.
2.Related experience and/or training preferred.
3.Regular and reliable attendance
